1. YOUR PRIVACY IS IMPORTANT

Your privacy is important to us. We want to process your personal data in an honest, legal, correct and transparent manner. In this document, our privacy policy, we explain how the processing takes place and which personal data is involved. We are talking about you as a (future) customer of our company, as a beneficiary, another data subject or a person at another organization who is in contact with us.

Drukkerij Uitgeverij Perka nv is active in Belgium, with its registered office at Industrielaan 10-12, 9990 Maldegem, and is responsible for the processing of your personal data.

2. YOUR RIGHT TO PRIVACY

You have many rights when processing your personal data. When Drukkerij Uitgeverij Perka asks for your permission, you can always withdraw that permission.

The execution of your rights in our systems and procedures takes place no later than 30 days after we have received your request. If for some reason this term cannot be met, we will inform you before the expiry of the original period.

2.1 You may view your personal data

You have the right to inspect the personal data that we process about you, the purpose of the processing, where we obtained the data from and who receives the data.

In this case, you can also find out how long we keep the data and whether we plan to send the data to a country outside the European Union.

We will provide you with the requested information in writing or electronically within a reasonable period of time.

2.2 You can have your data corrected/completed

It may happen that the data we process about you is not (any longer) correct. You can always ask to have the incorrect data corrected or supplemented with the missing data.

2.3 Right to erasure

If you think that we are processing the personal data unlawfully, you can ask to have this personal data deleted.

This request to delete personal data can be refused by Drukkerij Uitgeverij Perka, if this is justified. Examples are the exercise or substantiation of a legal claim or because of a legal obligation to keep certain data.

2.4. Right to limit personal data

You can ask us to limit the processing of your personal data if you suspect that the data is incorrect, the processing is unlawful or if you do not agree that we process the data under our legitimate interest (see article 3.3). We will grant this objection unless there are compelling reasons not to do so, for example to prevent fraud, payment defaults.

2.5. Right to object

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. The processing will then be stopped, unless the processing is necessary for the observance of social and tax legislation, to represent the interests of a third party or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

2.6. Right to data portability

You can ask us to ask for the personal data that you provide have given us to a third party.

Always be as specific as possible if you want to exercise your rights. This way we can process your request correctly.

To prevent someone else from exercising your rights, we want to check your identity as well as possible. That is why the application must always be accompanied by a document that proves that the identity of the applicant corresponds to your identity. This can be done by enclosing a copy of your identity card with the application. Make your passport photo and identity card number (etc.) black, to protect your privacy.

If we are of the opinion that the delivered document does not provide sufficient evidence, we will inform you. We reserve the right not to respond to the request until sufficient proof is provided.

3. WHY DO WE WANT TO PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

3.1. Drukkerij Publishing House Perka must comply with legal obligations

In some cases we are legally obliged to process your personal data. Here we list the most important:

  • tax law
  • commercial law
  • there is a possibility that we are forced to provide personal data to authorities or other third parties. For example, if this is necessary in connection with a legal obligation or for the performance of a task of public interest.

3.2. Drukkerij Uitgeverij Perka must be able to perform its contract with you

As a customer with us, you call on our services or buy our products. In order to guarantee the correct execution of our agreement, we must process and manage these contracts administratively, accounting and operationally.

The business relations are our customers, prospects and suppliers. Drukkerij Uitgeverij Perka processes the personal data of data subjects who work for companies with which business is done. The purpose of this processing is to provide information about the products and services and to maintain business relationships.

To contact and identify you, for our customer and supplier management, we process the following data: name, first name, address, gender, telephone number and/or mobile number, e-mail address, VAT number, financial data

4.2. From our candidate buyers

Our potential new customers are interested in our products/services. Drukkerij Uitgeverij Perka is a specialist in printing and mail handling. Potential new customers have therefore shown their interest in our offer. Drukkerij Uitgeverij Perka wishes them to keep you informed about these products/services. In order to communicate with them, we process the following personal data: name, first name, telephone and/or mobile number and e-mail address.

5. ABOUT SHARING AND RETAINING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

5.1. With whom do we share your personal data?

We only share your data with persons who have received explicit permission from us, if they need this data to perform their tasks. These persons will process your data on the same basis as we received it from you.

We use various processors for the processing of personal data. These are our subcontractors who process personal data on our behalf. Drukkerij Uitgeverij Perka only works with processors who guarantee the same security on a technical and operational level.

We will only share your data if we are obliged to do so by law or government order.

5.2. We do not keep your data indefinitely

Drukkerij Uitgeverij Perka uses your personal data with a clear purpose in mind. When this goal is achieved, the data will be deleted.

The starting point for keeping your personal data is the legal retention period.

We initially store the personal data of potential new customers, the prospects, for 5 years. If there has been contact between the prospect and Drukkerij Uitgeverij Perka during this period, a period of 5 years will start again from this contact.

We initially store the personal data of existing customers, suppliers, subcontractors, etc. for 10 years. If there was a new contact during this period, a period of 10 years starts from this contact.
